If someone highlights your mistakes + criticize you to take care of the things in advance it is official postive criticism.
Actually, you will be criticize depending on what you have done in your office.
but in the above case i am thinking that your boss may criticize you positively by informing you that you did a good job or performed the task well!

Official positive criticism is a survey from the management regarding an employee to justify his appraisal.
Example:
Dear ABC,
You are one of the competent employees of the company and management appreciate your good work for the company. We consider you as asset and looking forward a positive result from you as we have seen in the past. It’s in unfortunate to know that yesterday you misbehave with one of your colleague. We know that people do loss their patience in circumstances. But we did not expect such incident from a outstanding employee. We hope that you will think about the matter and will not repeat such thing in future.

First of all, criticism should be with a low voice if it 's directed from one to one.
Also it should be between them only not among other people to avoid shame.
More importantly it should be objectively not for making show.
Official positive criticism (which mostly happens from senior to junior in an ideal work situation) involves;
- first of all,detailed analytical appreciation of past work and achievements in polite and pleasant manners
- pointing out the mistakes by informing (no doubt you have done a good job but if you would have done that work in so and so way, the results would have been better for you as well as for company)
- motivating the person to next time try to avoide those mistakes and see the results
Ofcourse it should be in one to one discussion not in group form and that would also help in enhancing the confidence level of a junior on his / her senior .
