If they are the same person. Otherwise, the sales team work under the supervision of the sales manager.

Know sales are executing the marketing plan and feeding back data to make that plan and keep it up to date. So a strong relatioship between the two is paramount for success, but accountability for each functions stays with its manager.

Accourding to my point of view sales is a part of marketing but the sales team works under the supervision of sales manager becuase marketing manager makes stratigies but the sales manager practically implement these stratigies through his sales team.

No, Very less cases. Generally sales manager and marketing manager both communicate. But its not nessassry that marketing manager should coomunicate directly.

No, in my experience sales and marketing departments work in paralel, synergy between sales and marketing is vital for a cohesive customer experience, having one team being supervised by two managers with diferent action plans will confuse a team. The two managers however will work together to increase conversions and revenue by creating create complimentary action plans. As mentioned before each manager will retain accountability for that department.

It depends on the company profile and structure but in normal circumstances a sales team is always a serious part of marketing plan.

A sales team is a serious influencer on the marketing team functionality hence all the marketing team strategies are worked around a sales team and their plans but a sales team not neccessarily work under direct supervision of marketing team, they execute the sales strategies based on marketing strategies
