Dear Mr.Fetouh
There are two ways of training employees:
Cognitive: On the job Training:Coaching,Mentoring,Job Rotation,Job Instruction Technology,Apprenticeship Understudy
Behvioral:Off The Job Training Methods:Lecture,Conferences,Worshops,Vestibule Training,Simulation Exercises,Sensitivity Training,Transactional Training.
I have believed in doing more of On the hjob Training and devised Training Calendar in such a way looking into Training Needs of Each Emloyee and impetus on75% devotion to On the Job Training and25% to Off the Job Training. On the job Training helps the employee and employer since it gives real feel of situations in the market and helps to hone skills of the employee in a role play method.
Off the job Training I believe should be quite interactive wioth active participation of the trainee and trainer for soft skills and product knowledge and competitors activity.
You train the trainer it will make the environment conducive and competitive.
1. Send forms for training requirement to each department (Usual we can find out the requirement during appraisal).
2. Receive the forms and set a list department wise and get approval as per approved budget for the year.
3. Find a training Institute for the select training list.
4. Schedule training with the help of department head, and make sure workflow is not affected.
5. Send internal memo to the candidates informing them for their nomination for the training.
6. Collect training certificate and record them in training file.
Followings are some of the steps may be adopted to create training program:
