I expect people who are not afraid of anything to be loose cannons. Fear is healty in terms that it encourages people to control their actions. That is not to say that you need to frighten people but their right is to be aware of consequences and then choose and be accountable for thier choices.

What would you do if you weren't afraid?!!

Dear Ahmed

Your question is an interesting one and it needs some real introspection. It appears simple but needs serious consideration. It is a philosophical question and I seek to quote from art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar

Quote

Fear is an impression of the past reflecting the future of the present. When people deny fear , they become egocentric; when they recognize and accept fear they go beyond it. They become free from it

Total lack of fear is possible only in utter chaos or in utmost orderliness. Neither a saint nor a fool has fear, but everywhere in between there is fear. Fear is essential to preserve orderliness in the world. It is a primal instinct.

Fear of death preserves life. Fear of wrong maintains right

Fear of sickness encourages hygiene. Fear of misery makes you righteous

A child has a pinch of fear so it is careful and alert while walking. A pinch of fear is necessary to keep things moving smoothly.

It is said the greatest  fear is the fear of unknown

I for one believe that if one does not fear , it may lead to recklessness. If one is not afraid of anything, one tends to be dismissive of everything

Fiction writer Karen Thompson Walker avers that

“  we need to think of ourselves as the readers of our fears, and how we choose to read our fears can have a profound effect on our lives.

Now, some of us naturally read our fears more closely than others. I read about a study recently of successful entrepreneurs, and the author found that these people shared a habit that he called "productive paranoia," which meant that these people, instead of dismissing their fears, these people read them closely, they studied them, and then they translated that fear into preparation and action. So that way, if their worst fears came true, their businesses were ready”.

Aspects of  ( both positive and negative ) Fear or not being afraid can be argued to be seen as beneficial as well as damaging.
