You will have numerous responses. Depending on situation, either could be right. If you need to survive, then money is necessary. I mean you must know you can not get real money if you do not get an education; plus education never stops for the sake of a better future with your job, family, and own personal goals. However, when your family or just you need to get the fundamentals of shelter and food, then education must be placed on hold. Money is the key and that's no doubt. A person who has no money and education may be worth more than a "rich dummy". Money is current news and education is a legacy.
A person in a powerful position always knows how to get to find money. His position speaks for him. And for those who don't have power. They have to have money to get good service. If you have a high rank and are in a powerful position then your name is as good as money but if you want to be treated well otherwise and have no power then you need money to get the best service. Money gives you power and power also can give you money. Money is only good because it gives you power to buy goods and services. Without a need for power, there would be no need for money. It's better to rule the world and have no money, than to be a billionaire with no way to spend your money. Money may give power but lack of money cannot give anything except.
With a good Education you can achieve your dreams and earn money. You can't have one without the other. Then, in my opinion, the first place in the "importance list" is education, money is second and power is third.
