Many students prefer abroad education to their home country and they even take huge loans to study abroad.

They earn a little more than a fellow student who studied in home country. So does Foreign Education gives a good advantage or its just prestige issue to study abroad? Does it give global exposure to students and candidates who later join companies.

Dear sir

I think that the reason is simple and that is their access to jobs in the Gulf and high salaries will be better than others who have studied in their own countries., As most of them prefer to stay in these countries to get their residency and then citizenship, especially the Western countries

Well, I think students who prefer abroad education either they can not access home instititutions because of the admission requirements, or they are after global exposure, which is rewarding.

It does. UK or US university education is very good and decent

This trend is seen due to the following reasons:-

1)  Quality of education is better.

2)  It is more prestigious.

3)  The kind of exposure is huge, when moving outside the home country.

4)  The payment is good, as there is a general feeling that people who are educated abroad, can contribute more and are more intelligent due to the exposure they received, in comparison to their counterparts who are educated in their home country.

5)   If the individual plans to work outside, say, U.S. or U.K., the system there dictates that they have a local qualification to work there, despite passing the post graduation stage in their home country, since the working system is entirely different.

6)   People are confident that they will able to cover their loans and other expenses, when they are employed outside, due to the difference in currency rate.

Probably for two simple reasons, they either think that they will get a better education in another country or as befits young people they are drawn by the sense of Adventure!

Just by traveling you will get an education, let alone traveling to study.  I don't recommend taking on a lot of debt to study, better to work and save, even study part-time and work the rest of the time to keep the debt down.

I think there are many reasons behind doing that. As others said it may be because of the high requiremets of their home institutions or the over crowded home institutions. Or it may be the lack of good rewarding teaching in the local institutions which push the youth to go out and explore other ways of teaching. It also maybe to fulfill the basic youth desire of change. Anyway, and whatever the reason, i think exploring new ways of life and other cultures is good and required to learn and take the good of them and aquire the best of those cultures, and ignore the bad of them.

This is a great question and I see this happening in the USA (when I lived there). Many Saudi students come to great universities and learn so much more than what is available in their home schools and universities. I think the reason is the open culture and the excitement of being away from home. But lets also keep in mind that much of the information learned outside in Business is not taught in their home country. Many things are censored, and are not allowed to  discuss due to culture rules. In the end it is VERY beneficial to study abroad.
