Good services attract existing customers and prospects. Due to good bank services, the bank becomes word of mouth and attracts others for opening bank accounts or acquiring running finance or consumer loans etc.
Exactly there are several criteria for selection of a bank, based on the customers preference and requirements.
1. Sound, Safe and Stability.
2. Reputation and goodwill.
3. Network and acceseibility (branches, ATMs....)
4. Products and promotions (loans and credit cards)
5. Above all Customer service.

The customer looks at stability of the bank and whether in the the long run it would be beneficial to the customer to be associated with the bank.
