Windows XP was amazing, but it's old and unsupported now - if you have any sort of modern computer, you want a newer operating system. Windows7 feels much like XP, looks better, and takes more system resources... but it can use more system resources if they're available to them; out of the three, . Windows8 is a lighter operating system than windows7, so is better for underpowered computers. That being said, it's got a wonky UI that's designed for touch screens: it doesn't "feel" like windows and takes about a weeks' worth of learning to get used to it.

Windows7 is newer... it is more user friendly, more optimized for various plug and play hardware. You have Aero desktop at your disposal, more available64-bit system, reworked Start menu, support for Touch devices and support for DirectX11.

It boots better, handles the virtual drives better and has better support for SSD.

There are also too many enhancements "under the hood" to write down here.

difference on that there is little bit change in security of windows7 where XP is less secure and the encryption system.

Also in Windows7 there also built in deriver or can update automaticlly if not installed when internet connection is ok.  but in Windows XP it cannot be done.

Windows7 is more easier than Windows XP when use because all of the trem in Help and suppourt are available.
