Vision is the future prospect of a company. It's what the company wants to become in the future.

Mission is the main goal of the company and the reason of its existence. It's expressed at present and it tells us about its services and products, its values and what the company does.

I think there is1 difference , Vision is what you dream to be happened and Mission is what MUST be happened , meaning the difference between both First is expect and Second Physical and on going steps .

Similar to human body, the mission acts as the blood which fuels the body to work coordinatedly. Vision on the otherhand acts as the heart who continually beats to make the blood run all over the body. Thus, vision is what you want to attain while the mission statement is the reason why the company exists.

The vision is what we want to be

The mission is what we are doing

Defining the vision of an organization is often a difficult task, even for senior leadership.  It is a forward-thinking statement that must not only provide guidance, but also inspiration as to what an organization is focused on achieving in the long term - where they want to be in the future.

For example, the vision statement for Amazon - "Our vision is to be earth's most customer centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online."

A mission statement defines the present purpose of an organization and answers three key questions - WHAT it does, WHO it does it for, and HOW it does what it does.

Here is an example of a mission statement for my former employer, Target.

"Our mission is to make Target the preferred shopping destination for our guests by delivering outstanding value, continuous innovation and an exceptional guest experience by consistently fulfilling our Expect More. Pay Less.® brand promise."

Jessica Fisher
