SCM includes all the activities that take place to get the right product into the right consumer’s hands in the right quantity and at the right time from raw materials extraction to consumer purchase.
To be productive a good supply chain manager will try to achieve all the tasks required with the minimum cost possible and best quality.

A supply chain management is about the process of procuring materials, receipt, invoicing, requisitioning/transfer to production then FGS location for delivery to customers.
It controls the cost of your inventories such as DM and Indirect Supplies.
It strategically dictates how much money should we invest in costing a product and minimization of all controllable costs that will lead to a better profits for the company.
