Make guidelines, that's the first thing you should do. Make everything black and white, for you to show that you practice fairness at all times. All employees should know the guidelines and they should be provided copies.

Second is form groups by choosing members randomly. Form new groups every month so employees get to mingle with others.

Third is to think of activities wherein the employees get to sort of "cool down." It's something similar to working out where there are warm ups then cool downs. Through this they will have a transition from competition to regular work.

Last is by reminding them that everyone wants to grow. However, no one will grow if someone will block the sun from shining on other's leaves or petals, or absorb the water from other's roots. Any company is like a broomstick; it will not function the way it should if there is only one twig or if the twigs are not of the same length. No man is an island. Employees should be reminded that the people they should be better than is the person they were yesterday, not others.
