What is a check disc/ scan disc error ?

I do not think everyone has a8 or8.1pc. And as a PC gets older you need to do more trouble shooting to get it running ? When you get a check disc or scan disc error on an older computer what do you do. What does data error reading drive x mean? Is it a disc media error? What to do when you get the error message No boot device available .

chkdsk used for a lot of things , one of the famous things is to return your computer previous good state before electricity cut or damaged , there some thing called journal , this feature is the most important and I think chkdsk very important because of it and the secand important thing is to check for bad sectors and worn you

You should periodically use the Check Disk tool to check the integrity of disks. Check Disk examines disks and can correct many types of common errors on FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS drives. One of the ways Check Disk locates errors is by comparing the volume bitmap with the disk sectors assigned to files in the file system

What to do if chkdsk not work ?

If your Computer boots, Then its clear that your system hard disk is in bootable condition, Which means you can survive. Checkdisk is a tool which is used to check and repair the storage device for problems and glitches. So Try booting by removing all the external devices like USB drives,.. and let the check disk complete the process. All the best.
