Why do many companies prefer a graduate of medicine to do medical translation? Any professional translator can do the job, do you agree?

i think that translation is not related of what the specialized in. translation is a kind of interesting at the first stage, when translator finds that he is cabaple of dealing with his or her home language and the other one, he or she would finds himself involve in some special field of translatio; literature, medicine, ..etc.so my answer is (yes).
