Both are same
For an Advocate or Law firm their product is his services
For a Bank or Banker their product is his services
For a Hospital or Doctor their product is his services
So it depend what is the nature of the business. Some of the businesses their product are their services.
It depends on the business type - what is there core strength and what is their business strategy / vision.
Utlimately business should sell what customer needs.....what can be sold in the market....
Selling the key services associated to the product which brings about greater marketing even if the product is not that recognised in the market
That depends on your competitivness in each. Business is usually based on a strategy and that is based on competitive analysis which should specify what are your compaetitive advantages which lead you to the answer for your question for your case.
it depends on lot of factors ( Company Cash Flow / Budget / Forcasting / laibileties / etc..) but in both no one know unless there is a market study on both and the market needs as well in which the company loacted to reach up for the ideal call you can take it.
Well. It is very different from each others. Product is one time payment for the customers, and brand makes a huge difference, however service is an ongoing consymption and marketing overall makes the differnece along with the quality, and the price.
Products need more push for its brand and concept as it has a limited scope compared to Services where there may not be any limitations as such. Hence when it comes to selling a product, you may need to promote features and benefits as these are the factors on which products will be mostly sold. In case of services, these parameters would be different - price, resources, experience etc. Hence both require marketing efforts but with different purpose, it asks for different types of efforts.
Greetings to all friends.
The concept of selling remains same for both - Service and Product, however the process is different for both.
Selling a product is revolving around a physical thing which is present uniformly and with the ability of a sales person it is sold to customer. Most of the time we can sell same standard product to many customers. It needs manufacturing, inventory, product life cycle process etc to be considered.
Other side in Service selling is selling a invisible concept and this time it may change as per the changing customers. Most of the time the value of the selling depends on the skills of the sellers, need of client and so many other situational factors.
