In my view point, Failure is unable to achieve what we wanted to achieve.

Pesonally - If I am not able meet my defined goals for self and the family. It may be not able to provide right education which we wanted to give my kids, not able to achieve personal career goal / personal goal, etc.

Professionally: Not able to meet my annual goals for performance and development of self/ team members. Also, any gap in my deliverable to what we commit my customes -internal or external.

Failure is not definitely good!! It has repercussions depending on the level of failure.

But, we always face failure due lots of variables which may have not addressed or many assumptions we make when we do some work. Learning from these failures or others failure will definitely needed to prevent recurrence of the failures. This is how systems came in to picture - learning from past mistakes. I see that failure is mainly defining goals which you end up discovering that they are not good ones.

Personal failure is mainly never being satisfied or an ill believe that one can control minds and succeed.

Professional failure is not measuring your peroformance and being continuously distracted.

Other than learning from failure if you still can, failure is bad.

Failure is the state or condition of not meeting a desirable or intended objective ... as Failure is an opportunity for you to learn from your mistakes and improve yourself so that you can achieve your goals in future more effectively “ A Winner is NOT one who NEVER FAILS......But one who NEVER QUITS!!!"

According to a study, Entrepreneurs average3.8 failures before final success... with that being said, we have to know that without failing we wont succeed....failure is a part of the process.....so to answer your question, its a good thing...

Even the great Michael jordan once said " I've missed more than9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost300 games.26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

I see failure as avoid trying, giving up and/or not learning from your mistakes. In all cases it is bad for your personal and professional development.

As long as you take the challenge to succeed, keep trying if you don't succeed and try each time to learn from your mistakes you are still on the track of success.
