Use SPP to access Insight Diagnistic. Install the OS also using SPP. Also HP Server have Built-in Diagnostic tool installed in all Gen8 Server, This called HP System Management Homepage.

you can use HP SYSTEM INSIGHT MANGER with ilo port will give you diagnose even server shut down but conected to power

You should to use smart start CD to diagnose the problems in the server, also use it to deploy a new server. you can refer to HP web site to read more, or you can call me I have experiance of18 years in HP and DELL servers, storage and blade servers
