No of meetings should not be hindrance to team members performance.....They need their space and time to do things. Keeping that in mind, have jointly agreed meetings with team members.
Even the review should be to extent that, Team members should not feel like you are micromanaging.
This is very important to keep team members feel they are contributing from their skills than executing activities direct by you.
i usually used to hold two meetings a week.one tuesday and the other thursday.
I would say twice per month, in order to keep track on what is happening in terms of the projects update.
Two scheduled meetings per month, and the other by degree of urgency
I would like to be in a continuous meeting with my staff all the time. I call for formal meetings as and when required like (planning, & interdepartmental activities).
1)Professional organizations : Coducts weekly Meetings.
2)Semi Professional Organizations :Fortnightly or once in a month
3)Unprofessional organizations: only during Emergencies.
Conducting the number of meetings depends upon project criticality.it is found that conduction meeting on regular basis makes the staff to be on the same page.It also bridge the Gap towards Project understanding by keeping every one up to date.
The frequency and style will vary from person to person and or vary with the same person, this is purely situational management characterised by the amount of direction and support the Manager is required to give to team/ organisation members, depending on their level of maturity.
i thing1 per month or liss if there is no need , most of the communication by email or phone , you need to make meetings if there is important thing and need to say it for all the employees , if there is alot of meeting the employes will be daring to the manager , there should be some litle bit formal , and simple
It will depend on work situation but at least once in a month is compulsory.
Normally a manager/s can hold a meeting twice a month but, it can also be on a weekly basis. The frequency of conducting a meeting will always depend on the needs of the company.
It should be weekly.
