PC without Gateway can only communicate with PCs on the same LAN
Any computer will not access the internet without a "default gateway", it is impossible....
Broadband connections that are dynamic IP addressing will require a Default Gateway to connect. what about dial up connections ?PPP connections or PPPoE will not have a Default Gateway, since they're point-to-point connections
Its like your main door , without it you can not go out or anybody else can not come in, therefore for data transfer between outside world computers in the inside your network should be directed a path to to go out , that is the default gateway
You must have a default gateway address specified to send a packet outside of your LAN. Without one, you cannot access the Internet.
yes, but only using proxy servers.
Yes you can browse the Internet without a Default gateway when a proxy server is used.
A PC without a Gateway is like a home without an EXIT door. Regardless the way that you connect to internet you still need a Gateway IP address in order to communicate with the world.
it is possible when isp internet provider gives you the login id from their portal to login i n that condition you login and use the internet .
that works because they made configure our mac address to their login user name and password so in your computer nothing show in your lan adaptar properties ipv4 its given by the provider . So we just login through our username and password and use the internet .
You can reach specific destionation by defining the route but you can not access whole internet without default gateway.
