What was the best dining experience you have ever had? What qualities did the restaurant and staff possess that made it so exceptional?

There are few restaurants where I have my dinner everyday by turns, because I'm not used to cook at home more than a sandwich or sometimes a beef steak. Those restaurants are based on greek cuisine, spanish cuisine, turkish cuisine and american one for the lunch break during work days (Ruby Tuesday).

All are exceptionally clean - first rule in my eyes. If I don't like the smell inside or I see any stains on my drinking glass or eating table or plate I'm out of there in2 seconds.

A dinning restaurant for the evening shall be discrete, tables must be covered with fine white cloath and cloath napkins shall be available. Serving forks, knives and spoon shall be stainless steel and very clean.

Staff shall be dressed properly, clean, be polite and pay attention to my desires as I pay their salary and I use to give generous tips. They shall give me explanation about ingredients used in the meal I want to order and also give me details about how will be cooked. I don't like when staff refill my glass, I like to do that myself, but I want them to take out fast from the table the food I dont serve anymore or the empty plates.

If there is any music playing inside the restaurant, shall be on a discrete volume so I'm able to conduct a conversation with my companions or to talk at the phone if is neccessary. I enjoy complementary food suggestion from the staff if I'm undecided what to serve. I prefere to select alone the wines.

Taste of the meals shall be exactly as is supposed to be, not overcooked and not fast-forward cooked. I eat slowly so I want my meal to be rather hot when served so will remain warm untill I finish to eat.

There are more aspects which I consider, but the key is quality of every single aspect.

Our best Dining Experience was in a star class hotel in the Hills of Sri Lanka. The dinner was full of fun and surprises and also they went the extra mile on wishing us for our aniversary with a complementary cake and other special gifts. 

The staff there was really wonderful on their services and hospitality. When we go outside for dining or spending our holidays we expect to be pampered by the people who are servicing us, and thats exactly what we got.

In New Delhi at The Bukhara - The service was exceptionally good and fast despite the restaurant was full and the food was out of this world
