Obviously, the destruction caused due to natural calamities are NOT covered by any insurance company. It is mentioned under the exceptions in the insurance policy.

Motor insurance policy cover not only the damage occured to the motor  vehicle and third party but also losses due to fire and burgalary  ,however the natural events or  natural perils such as storm are originally excluded from scope of cover, even though can be added and incorporate in the fire insurance policy as allied perils with corresponding additional premium.

Hence , and for these reasons I think losses due to storm in Oman for motors were not entertained by Omani insurance companies.

  Thanking You.
