In Payroll if an employee resigned we have to pay 1/3 rd of Basic is standard policy according to labor laws or we have to pay more? let me know

Depends on the Local Labour Laws but when the Employees works during his Notice Period as agreed in the Appointment Letter, he will not have to pay any amount to the Employer.
