How humiliated do you feel when you are forced(not requested)to work as cashier in a company where you are working permanently in their HR,IT,Fin,Com?

It is quite strange that a branch General Manager is manipulating the service staffs(HR,IT,Finance,Maintenance to work in commercial departments like CCO(central cash office) as a back up cashier in that specific department2 to3 hour daily in a hypermarket!! What is this? How do you look at this phenomena? If the CCO department head cannot manage or schedule his staffs properly let him suffer not others? or any one sees this phenomena as a clever human management?

I have seen the same picture in quite a few occassion at the hypermarket where I was working.

It is usually due to lack of planning or weaknesses of the Admin manager , HR dept or Branch Manager.

Look at it on the bright side: TEAM SPIRIT

To be forced is not a sign of team spirit. If there indeed is a lack of resources in the company and a group effort and decision was made to stretch the limits of the current staff to aid in the shortfalls of other departments temporarily, that is called team spirit.

It is similar to the fine line of being flexible in your job role/description and being used and walked on for other's gain. Do not feel humiliated and speak up. Be firm but cordial.

You shouldn't be. No one will bare that unless it is his/her best option, at least until he/she finds a better opportunity.

Have mercy on the people of Honest humiliation.

What is the reason for this radical change? The company ran out of work and want to keep you on board? or you have failed drastically in your job and need to start all over. Why feel humiliated about it?

As I worked Assistant CCO manager, the issue in cash line and the cashier position is the high level of staff turned over.

But the CCO manager has the tools to plan the cash line schedule for more than a month

So he can hire during the plan as staff  needs

You have all right to blame the GM and CCO manager against this, but the cost is important as well.
