Waste types and treatment solutions
Today, there are multiple solutions to treat waste, depending on the materials that compose it. Are distinguished as different types of waste:
biodegradable or compostable waste (food waste or garden)
A substance is called biodegradable if, under the action of outdoor living to its substance organizations, it can be broken down into various elements devoid of harmful effects on the environment (National Official Journal of12 April2009). Recycling is a process that is partially or totally reuse the materials that make up a product at the end of life, to make new products. We can take for example the manufacture of new glass bottles with used bottles. In this process, industrial and household waste are becoming commodities. burnable waste (which can burn incineration plant)
Incineration is a technique used to treat a wide variety of wastes (household waste and industrial waste) by burning completely. Incinerators are called incinerators, incineration plant refuse, consisting at least of a furnace, boiler for energy recovery device and a flue gas treatment to reduce air pollution. The use of fuel is only necessary to turn off the ignition and, if not only calorific waste is sufficient. This technique was developed in the1960s to avoid landfilling of biodegradable waste and burns40% of municipal waste in France. The heat from incineration can be recovered in the form of electrical energy, heating or both (CHP).
Once the burning is complete, it remains solid residues at the bottom of the furnace bottom ash. They can be recycled after reprocessing (déferraillage and storage) in specialized sites and used for construction (roads) or moving.

Hazardous waste
Explosive waste, flammable, irritant, harmful, toxic, carcinogenic, corrosive, infectious, toxic for reproduction or mutagenic ecotoxic fall into this category. They come from industrial, domestic or hospital source, and must be collected and treated in a special way.

The ultimate waste is waste that is not recyclable, or by recycling or by energy recovery, in the technical and economic conditions of the moment. According to the regulations, they are the only ones to be buried and stored in repositories of ultimate waste landfills (formerly called landfills). The landfills are composed of watertight compartments surrounded by dikes. They generate odor nuisance to residents, leachate (landfill juice from the decomposition of waste) that are routed to toxic treatment plants and biogas, which is a bet toxic and burned on site.
Urine-powered generator
Four young Nigerian women ages14 and15 made interesting headlines when they debuted their urine-powered generator at Maker Faire Africa in Lagos this month. The device uses electrolysis to separate hydrogen from the water in urine and then fuels a generator with the gas. Water might work just as well, but saying your phone charged on urine just makes more of a splash, so to speak.
