The main reason for leaving a job is being offered a better job with better salary and career prospects.
Other main reasons are :
Jobs not up to expectations
Work / Life imbalance
Feeling undervalued
Loss of faith & confidence in the leaders & the company
Management freezes raises and promotion
Management lacks people skills
It is relative to certain situations...
I changed job3 times and in4th job currently.
I quit for boss attitude onlye once...!! With remaining bosses, I can work again with them happily!
I don't think so. A bad boss will get the good employees to leave as soon as they can, but a lot more do leave for better opportuinities.
Yes, it is true to majority of employees leave job when they not satisfied with attitude of boss .
As employees are internal customers of each orgnization , they have some expections and ambitions with orgnization in terms of respect, ethics , salary, rewards , benefits and etc.
To be respected is the topmost goal of every employee to work with any orgnization.
Popular saying will do the answer here "People quit their boss, not their job"
True. Boss fails to identify needs of an employee, doesn't give him right kind of work, lack of interest in employee's development, under estimating, politics etc...
I believe they leave due to dissatisfaction in general.
That's what they say, but in my opinion it's not that black and white. I think in many cases the environment is bad, blaming on the boss is just an excuse not to do anything for improving the situation. Work is interaction between so many parties and each and every person should make sure they contribute as well as they can for the common good. The boss is in key role, as s/he is the one who has to step out and allow the change to happen.
depends why the attitude of boss are lying negative when all the employees perfrom task upto the mark or i think he permote that some special person this is not fruitful for the company in the market so must be employee as an assets of company be positive
It is almost always true
Human beings need respect and acknowledgement of their acheivement when they work on any project. and when this does not come from their bosses, they get disappointed and discouraged. Their enrgies go down and finally they think about quiting and going somewhere else.
Being a sole performer is one thing and being a Boss or manager is entirely a different thing. As boss you no longer have to do job yourself, rather you have to get it done. A boss need to handle his employees according to their nature. Some employees need some freedom to perform so delegate tasks to these employees and tell them what result you need. Do not hold their hand throughout the process. this will frustrate them.
While some other employees may like their Boss being invloved in their tasks and get encouraged when their boss guides them about how to acheive a result.
In short treating your employees well can lead to the success of both you and your team.
