Are Extra Curricular activities loosing prominence in daily curriculum at school level?

They are and it is not an impressive development.Our children are lagging behind in an important area,being physically fit.Education has become one sided,books,books and books.It should be WORK blended well with PLAY.

They certainly are, at least in my part of the world, mainly I feel because of the economic climate. Cutbacks are being made and budgetry constraints mean that there is not enough money in the "pot" to finance some of the extra curricular activities which were taken for granted in the past!
