Both of them are responsible to maximize the profit but the mode of their strategy is different. The Marketing manager is responsible to device the marketing strategy, plans and activities to promote the brands while the Sales manager along with the team is responblie to implement those plans and strategies on floor or in the field. If Sales individual didn’t follow the instructions from the Marketing department then there is a chance that said target could not be achieved.
