In order for us teacher to make the leaarning process fun for our students, these are a few points which have proved to work perfectly.
1. Offer choices to the students because most of them cannot choose and by doing that they'll feel they are part of the class.
2. Tailor your lessons to your students considering theis age.
3. Pay attention to students interests.
Involvement and healthy competition. Relating the subject matter to real life instead of teaching by "rote", this in turn gives the subject perspective, effective especially if given with an amusing tale. Use visual aids if possible: "a picture is worth a thousand words"! Answer a question with a question and then give them time to "research" and answer, give them gentle hints as to where they might find the information and lots of praise for their efforts. It is as important for them to know where to look as it is to come up with the correct answer. This research could also be done in "teams", each team consisting of students with varying levels of ability and expertise, in this manner they are competing against other teams and they are also "feeding" off their own team mates. Not only will this engender the teamwork ethos it will promote healthy competition and there is always fun to be had with inter team rivalry. The added bonus is that some students work better in a team as they feel there is less pressure on them as "individuals". Above all your own enthusiasm, leadership, forethought and imagination will ultimately ensure that learning can be fun and not just a chore!
