The Google definition of integrity is "the state of being whole and undivided".  Therefore to have no integrity means disharmony, imbalance and division... I think that answers your question?

Integrity means be truthfull and sincere to what you do. if Manager doesn't have integrity, there will be no loyality and eventually the goals will not be met and the Rules and Regulations will not be followed. the lower level employees' performance also get effected due to lackness of Manager's integrity. only & only Manager's integrity brings sucess to the organization.

It is very important for a manager to have integrity.

That being said, defination of integrity varies from each person to person. For a manager to have  a sense of integrity he should be capable of making right decision be impartial towards every one working under him and have a sense of balance in which he is able to support his view point, organizations ethics & his subordinate & colleagues equally.

Many ethical lapses that have sunk organizations illuminate the importance of integrity in top-echelon executives. Research by the Center for Creative Leadership, which hasn’t made the news, shows that integrity is the key criteria in determining success by top executives.

Interestingly, however, integrity is not the key criteria for success by middle managers according to performance ratings. For them, the study indicates that social intelligence – understanding the people and situations around them – is key.
