First Of all, some company just lose it, they get sloppy and they lose the customers, my company bought companies that used to be big fat companies back in the days, if this is the case and you have no power to change things, you have to leave and try find other opportunity to get a positive experience.
But If it's fallen on you, You have to take responsibility and act like you own the business start working and brain storming with other team mates why this customer is dissatisfied and try hard to meet his needs. even if this require you to give free services for a few weeks. but the thing is to re-gain the customer trust that you are capable of meeting his needs.

Sometimes a company or a product requires change. The current market is dynamic and therefore the customers wants products and services that are up-to-date. If a company does not join up to the competition the customers no matter if he/she is a loyal customer will go to another competitor. It is good to know a product's life cycle as well. Gifts and discounts can also add value but it won't be of much help as your product's life is already diminishing. Until and unless you come up with fresh ideas customers will go away.

This is necessary to any company or business to keep their customers in touch, there are many systems can adopted to remain relation with your customers like, if you are seller and you spent lot of your time to convience your customer and when you succeded in your bargaining and customer left you. something must be in your and also your customer hands. if you issue a coupon to him that5% more discount will be given to you on your next visit or you did anything by any style to make him permanant customer. issue him a customer number by just get his fingure on fingure record machine and welcome him warmly on his next visit.

I Believe that this is a very important question , especially when profitability is , most of the times , being preferred over almost every thing else . I Believe it's a matter of Ethics . If the owner of the business is a person with good to high quality code of conduct or code of behavior , what ever is the description that one wishes to use , the customer will always be dealt with in a fair & ethical manner , & , vice verse .
