I believe Logo Design is a part of Minimalist Design
It is difficult to choose.
Every situation or project needs a different logo that fullfills the requirements of it.
Logo should be simple but attractive and describes the name or project easily.
A logo is termed as best design, if it depicts the meaning, objective and the values of that company. That way I like Apple, Facebook, BMW, and Redcross logos.
