There are many ways to develop written English skills through:

1. Practice writing notes, business letters and comment on some topics and speeches related to your business.

The road to an exquisite English-written skills is paved with a long , arduous & sometimes grueling process of always taking the initiative , not to mention , being heart & soul committed to what you do .
Any one can think that they're good at something , nevertheless , thinking that you're good at something is simply way way too different & world apart from actually being good at it on the ground , & , in this case we're talking about one of the most important pillars & tenets of learning the English language as a second language , which is the Writing skill .
Now , to get to the top ( Top Command in English ) , it takes more than just learning or memorizing a bulk of words & their synonyms , it starts with the passion for something , you have to have the knack for it , & , not only that , you have to fall in love with it .
This will be of tremendous help & assistance in the sense that it'll aid you in figuring out the right , correct & grammar-accepted words , expressions & phrases .
Once you have that base well-established , you have to commit yourself to the process , by always building on what you've already constructed in a gradual & incremental manner , all in keeping with the English language as a broad-based yet easily mastered & commanded Language , only if such process is well-founded , well-built up on & well followed up on .This requires the great English written skills-seekers to establish a system that would make it ritual-like daily endeavor that would allow them not to only to brush-up on their already existed English , but to also excel in it , & , this is just as easily applicable on the other branches of the English language , & , they are ( Speaking - Reading - Listening ) .
For me , I think , your daily dosage of English should & ought to be comprised of two-pronged approach .
The first of which is to allocate daily certain hours especially put aside only to practice your English , & , it must be at fixed hours that you commit to them in the daily .The Second of which is to bifurcate your learning process to include the Academic & the Mundane ( Day-To-Day / Street Use ) English .
You can improve your ability in both Modalities simultaneously by doing the following :
1- Watch the daily English news , the9 o'clock evening news for example , from finish to start , with100 % undivided attention .
This would include other special programs , whether it's ( Politics - Health - Economics - Social - local & International etc...
) .
Here I'd suggest the following international T.V Channels ( AL-Jazeera International - BBC World news - CNN etc...
) .
This will help you on improving your Academic English .
2- Always use the Internet as an English Learning tool .
I would suggest the following Websites as complementary tools , & , they're ( WWW.THEFREEDICTIONARY.COM / WWW.REFERENCE.COM ) , to name a few .
3- It'd be tremendously helpful if you listen to English Music , Whether it'd be English , American , Australian Irish etc...
) .
( You can always use the Internet to search for the relevant Lyrics .
4- Also it'd be of great assistance if you watch Movies , Soup operas & Reality Shows , even though they may not be to your taste or liking , nonetheless , they'll help you to improve your reservoir & repository of Vocabularies , Expressions & Phrases of the Day-To-Day English .
Now , while you're hard at work at the afore-mentioned suggested course of action , always keep in mind the following :
1- That you always use these Instruments ( Internet - T.V News Channels - Music - movies etc ...
) to improve your over-all English ( Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing wise ) , & ,
2- That this seemingly pain-staking yet very logical process is respected by simply committing your self to it irrespective of the variables around you , because as the adage goes ( NO PAIN NO GAIN ) , & ,
3- That Commitment & Taking The Initiative is your personal motto & slogan , without any wavering , equivocation or melting , & ,4 - That you always keep a pen on you , so that when ever you hear a good word or expression , you just jot them down .
This way , you not only learn a new word or two , you also connect the dots here in the sense that you always associate a word with a picture on your mind , simply because you've put it down in writing , believe me this is a very efficient & efficacious way of improving your English .
( This also applicable to Typing on your Keyboard ) , & ,5 - That once you've reached such level of commitment , you'll find your self unconsciously , coming up with new ways & means to learn English , simply because you're a person who's in love with something so bad that they go with the flow smoothly & swimmingly .
( & That's The Way it Goes ) .
