He is wrong who thinks this way . A very tight marketing plan has to be established otherwise other competeting goods may put into market which may affect your good volume or price
It depends on the customer need and how the customer perceives his need ......
Good Product would help and make it easy for the sales person up to a certain level, but absolutely that does not mean to forget the competitors and not to maintain a good plan also to monitor the market needs and improvement. He should always aim for the best and never rely on his good-quality-product.

i think so if someone has good selling skills the product will sell easily, only good product is not enough.
Even a good product would require some form of advertisement (or introduction) specially if the product is not yet known to the market to get sold. Once the good product become known to the market, it will be the time to use less advertisement when it reaches level that the good product becomes familiar to the buyers. Then it will sell itself. Yet, advertisement is always a must to remind the forgetful buying public.
The quality of the product will not be the majority factor for selling products because sometimes you will find equivalent products with less quality but they have a good revenues and awareness this depend upon supporting your product with good advertising and then Excellent after sales service because this might be the turn over point for the customers from your product to another one even if your product100% quality, so for me the majority is how you support your customer all the time to keep them always with you and then seeking new ones, because the cost of gaining new customers is80 % more than keeping the retention customers which will cost you only 20%.
i think salesman will not abel to sell it !!! , he will do the bad strategy " Dump & Go .. it's moving ! "
because sales man will focus only for rebeat orders " pre selling " so there is no devlopment in sales like POP , Disply , etc ..
It's all about salesperson..You can sell anything if you have good powers of persuasions..you can sell even a pen or some ordinary product if you are good at it.. but,we're not all born to be salespersons..
