Constructive criticism can only be a good thing, "constructive" indicating that the "critic" is doing it for all the right reasons ie to improve performance at work, to inform or instruct you, to help with your own development and in doing so it would be to the mutual benefit of yourself and your Employer. This form of criticism should be embraced and taken for what it is worth and how it is meant.

I personally, have no time for criticism that is not presented in this way. It can be petty minded, demeaning and confidence draining, useful to no one although it may give some sort of perverse pleasure to that particular critic. Small minded people like that are to be pitied not scorned!!!
