Why, do you think, there is no specific residential Style of Architecture now in Egypt despite of the richness of the Egyptian architectural history?

Egy arch history it goes to pharonic period,islamic, christian & Romanic as well so we have here in Egypt a mix culture betw all of these & ppl wana cheap things so most of them they r going for romanic style coz its kinda copy paste details

The answer of this question would be so complicated because it drags us into a political, economical, social, historical and a philosophical discussion.
Most Architects now in Egypt are living a kind of a sad condition because of the lack of beauty and comfort in the streets.
The members of the streets such as buildings, traffic ways and pedestrian zones are a mess because they were founded so randomly.
Mainly the Egyptian cities are so old, hence they grew organically and when they're expanded they're not funded enough to be founded effecientaly.
Politically , the beauty of the architectural style ceased to be considered after the23rd of July revolution in1952.
The Middle Class community has appeared which is good, but everyone of them had a small property that they wanted to grow and keep for the future.
People started to build houses that are not served enough financially, it led them to neglect all the architectural details which would have cost them more money.
The Government then didn't fulfill its role to guide people or even tell them they have to maintain one specific architectural style to say that this is an important value in the advanced communities.

there's many factors, the trend of architecture today, day after day our architects neglect the specifics elements of their area's architecture, and they're influenced by the modern architecture, modern is not a problem on the residential style, but we can keep its both....that's my opinion.

Thanks For the Invitation For so many reasons, the building materials are expensive, the building spaces are not enough, we now build boxes adjacent to each other with no green spaces, pavements are hardly there.
People no longer know about the architectural style because they no longer see it and this lack of beauty was reflected on our culture.
we are losing our architectural entity and distinction.
Our History is rich but now w're neglecting beauty and we've been accustomed to the lack of it.
people have to be directed to value the Style concept and work together to build one-style streets and cities and not to behave randomly and create an ugly image of our country's built spaces.

 the most effective reason controls Style od living is econmic level of the customer, from the other side, all styles are available, due to varaity of market demands.
