Baking Soda or Sodium bicarbonate is a constituent of Baking Powder.

both the same they re leavening agents baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate and baking powder it s connsitute of sodium bicarbonate plus moisture and acidic ingerdients

the defference is on the use baking powder mainly baking goods(rising  and lightening texture)and the baking soda also baking (patisserie)and very effeceint  healthy cleaning tool even brushing your teeth or as a last minute saver for rehydrating  dry beans
