What are add-on covers in General insurance?

Add on covers are extra benifits for which you have to pay extra charges. In property insurance if  certain clauses like protection against rioting or flooding are added no extra policy has to be taken but with extra premium the custromer may avail of the add on cover.

It is the additional perils  that excluded from the cover by the policy conditions. However can be added to the orignal cover as Allied perils upon payments of  additional premium by policy conditions as well.
