First impressions can play a major role in how an employer perceives you as a candidate. It's good etiquette to include a handshake as part of your introduction. Tell the interviewer that it is a pleasure to meet them, smile and be sure to make eye contact.
In my opinion, following are some of the best ways to present oneself for an interview:
1. First impression is very important. So, wearing neat and clean clothes with a nice combination of tie is the best way.
2. A smiling face, however not laughing one, helps a great deal.
3. A polite posture i.e. standing and sitting, way of communicating is expected.
4. Candidates should try to look confident (this is not to be misunderstood as overconfident and arrogant).
5. Asking for permission before entering the interview room is a good manner.
6. Also, candidates should delay in sitting until they are asked to sit.
7. Since negotiation is a very important part of an interview, candidates should negotiate in such a way that justifies their expectations. They must be careful of not being arrogant or impolite while negotiating.
8. Keeping patience is imperative in any interview since the temper of a candidate is tested in interviews.
9. In case, if a candidate cannot answer any question, there is no harm in it. They should clearly mention their inability to answer the question rather than fumbling on trying to answer.
10. Before entering an interview board, candidates must have good knowledge of the company they are being interviewed by and the responsibilities that their post requires to perform.
11. When the interview is over, the candidates should politely leave the room without showing any negative feelings i.e. dissatisfaction, anger, disgust.
Should know yourself, your abilities and weaknesses and just be yourself do not pretend to be someone else. do not fidget it shows lack of confidence... remember those who are interviewing are from the same planet...
Be confidant and speak to the point.

8. Listen to carefully first then concise answer.
