It is very important to hire good and most suitable candidate for positions. But is the evaluation of candidate is sufficient to get suitable candidate?
I think a bit a both is important this is because it is not always individuals with year of experience that will do well. But rather those with a natural flair and willingness to learn and go the extra mile that will excel.
Experience without the talent is useless.
I think many people take the word "experience" wrong: Just because someone has20 years' experience doing something, that does NOT necessarially mean they are any good at it!

IT is true when " Experience does matter when comes with rational thinking". Even then I have faced situation where2 -3 years less numbers disqualify you as competent candidate. Mostly seen 'Quantity not the Quality"
Every experience person has his talent, he being continued for his services for many years with same
products with his employer that means employer has found best talent to continue his services for a
long time Award. Employer wishes further more progress with new more educated people to create
their talents with the Global World and they get more benefit than experience people for same job.It sometimes affects accordingly to company and experience people start leaving the company then what happens...... Therefore , according to me experience has his talents evaluate him and you will see how experience is important.
