Science is the concept where things are based on logic sequences, methods and scales.
Art is a science or phenomenon where imagination and creativity are used to come out with a new ouctome.
English ( and any language) could be an Art & Science by using its rules and methodolgy and being logic, and by adding some of your creativity to make it more iconi but not boring
Teaching has elements of both art and science. Asking effective questions so as to lead students to understanding and insight is an art, as is inspiring students to revel in the joy of learning.
On the other hand, although teaching entails more than curriculum and instruction, meeting the four basic challenges of curriculum and instruction can be approached with evidence and reasoning
For me ,it is an art .It is the art of communicating using a different language.Languages differ from other sciences. In chemistry , you add two compounds together to get a third one.it is a scientifc theory.Languages are different ,you can't say why we use" this"for singular or" those" for plural. It was said in this way and it remains the same.
The languages always are arts, because you can replace words to make the paragraph like a media in imagniation
According to the speciality you`re dealing with, if you deal wilth Literature , then it`s an Art while dealing with linguistic matter like Grammar then it`s a Science
Neither if you take "art" and "science" literallty. In a different context it can be both! Art being the ability to do something successfully and Science being the actual mechanics of what you are doing. The science in teaching the English language is how the language is composed eg Nouns, verbs, adjectives etc. The Art is the ability to impart this knowledge to your students.
