Press Ctrl key, with mouse select all sheet tabs you want to format

leave the Ctrl key, do the formating you want

Select the multiple tabs (hold down ctrl) you want to have the same format in your excel sheet to highlight it as white tabs. Then enter the format you want in the first sheet. it will copy automatically to the other selected sheets.

You can use Ctrl to select different sheets or shift to select sequential sheets . Then do your format save and ungroup sheets.
