For successful Change management we need to have focus on ITIL process and the WORKFLOW .Basically for any change that is being done on a production devices(servers,storage,desktops etc) change ID is designed.This change ID differentiates the workflow process as to whom the intended change should go for approval.Depending on the criticality of the change, the appropriate workflow is created for each change ID's .Again this change is being reviewed by members of CAB(Change advisory board) where in you need to explain what will be the impact of the change once performed and if there is any rollback plan if anything goes out of hands.Once after these change is approved :-) .
