Good evening. In my opinion,

ü Define the objective of your study it can be qualitative or quantitative.

ü  Define population.

ü  Understand resource availability for the study i.e. time, manpower, cost etc.

ü  Select appropriate sampling method.

ü  Determine sample size, draw the sample.

ü  Design data collection instruments (data tables, questionnaire, interview schedule)

ü  Conduct pilot study and improve design.

ü  Analyses the collected data.

ü  Draw inference.

ü  Draw conclusion.

Important steps for Research:

1) Identifying the Research Problem

2) Hypothesis

3) Preparation of Research Plan - Blue print - also selection of research methodology, type.of research, etc.

4) Gathering information from various sources/ collection of data

5) Grouping information/data

6) Analyzing information/data

7) finding facts based on the analysis and coming to conclusion

8) Conclusions and Recommendation

9) Report Writing with all the observations and conclusions arrived.

• 4. Use article indexes to find and follow the research regarding your problem/question.
• 5. Consider using the Internet to find government information and open access articles related to your topic.
• 6. Collect, read, evaluate and write what you have learned.
• 7. Cite the information you have found so that others will be able to follow your research trail.
