Thanks for your invitation, I have't much Idea about this challenge, However  internal and external cooperation always needed to fight with any challenge and achieve our goal.

I think teachers can make fun out of this challange by inviting students to design an assessment tool: a rubric, a rating scale or a checklist to be used by them and their teachers during the activity and after it.

I agree in principle with all the previous answers. What it does do is clearly define the "Leaders" within in a group, although it has to be said that "Leaders" are not necessarily correct in what they say or do but tend to take charge as a result of a forceful or outgoing personality. The more interesting students are the ones who "challenge" these strong personalities when they think that they are wrong, sometimes it can take a lot of courage and self belief.

I agree to some extent as collaborative groups should assess each other as a kind of critical thinking.Finally , a teacher can give a final opinion of students' work.Thus,students help teachers to assess.
