Normally what we do is, we look at the current(Amperage) and consult the manual containing the stuff of size of conductors according to the ampere. suppose. i have a50 Kilowatt alternator. The current is86 Amperes. instead of calculating the size of overhead conductors for transmission and distribution network, we just look at the manual and decide Ok it will be25 Sq.mm for transmission line and it will be50 Sq.mm for distribution line. PLEASE HELP IN CALCULATING THE SIZE OF OVER HEAD ALUMINUM BAR Conductors.
