MS LOGO stands for Logic Oriented Graphic Oriented language. It si a simple programming language understood by the computer. With the help of this language computer can perform many task like, drawing pictures, calculating , arranging text etc.
I just know about that. Not about colours, F and T. :)
According to Microsoft general manager of brand strategy Jeff Hansen, it’s all part of Microsoft’s strategy to give its mainstream products — Windows8, Windows Phone8, the Xbox360 (technically “Xbox services”) as well as Microsoft Office — a “common look and feel.”
The F and T are not linked, but it is the way the fonts are.
Dear Amit,
The logo was changed in August2012 to reflect the revolution in Microsoft.2012 was an important part of Microsoft's history, with its new array of product designs (Metro or Modern Design language), Windows8 is the most crucial Windows launch since Windows95, being the first Windows to enable a completely different UI.
The blocks of colours symbolises the company's products. Light Blue is Windows, the 'background' of everything you do on your PC. Blue is a cool and slick colour, symbolising what Microsoft wants Windows to be, slick and quick, yet cool and easy on the eye and easy to use.
Orange/red is Microsoft's Office products. Red means business, because it suggests a busy life, quick and hot, which means Office is meant to get things done nice and quick.
Green is Microsoft Gaming, mainly XBox. Green is fun and the 'Go!' colour, meaning maximum fun. Yellow is still unclear, But I believe it represents Microsoft Hardware.
Yellow is bold and strong, which is what Microsoft hardware is build to be, long-lasting and efficent.
Hope this helps. :)

The new logo ushers in 'one of the most significant waves of product launches in Microsoft's history,' Jeff Hansen, the company's general manager of brand strategy, wrote in a blog post Thursday.
The redesign features the Microsoft name in a lighter, straight font called Segoe to replace the italic bold type used in the old standby.
The new logo also includes the familiar red, blue, yellow and green colors used in the flag on Microsoft's Windows operating system, but the colors will be in a square box instead of the curvy template that has been in place for years.
Those color boxes invoke the tiles that will be central to Windows8.
'The ways people experience our products are our most important 'brand impressions,'' Hansen wrote.
'That's why the new Microsoft logo takes its inspiration from our product design principles while drawing upon the heritage of our brand values, fonts and colors.'
The new logo made its debut Thursday on Microsoft's websites, as well as three of its stores in Boston, Bellevue, Wash. and Seattle, which is located near the company's Redmond, Wash., headquarters.
This is Microsoft's fifth logo since Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded the company years ago.
When it last changed its logo in, Microsoft had been a publicly traded company for less than a year and boasted a market value of about $2 billion.
It peaked at more than $ million in. Now, Microsoft's market value stands at $ billion - less than half of Apple's market value of $ billion.
the meaning of the four squares are the four seasons. The red is for summer, the green is for spring, the blue is for winter and lastly the yellow is for fall.
I know what the logo means! Let me show you an image I drew,
