I'm trying to connect to my Office network via VPN using Cisco ASA. It works fine with my Windows7 and windows XP PCs. But from Windows8 PRO, I get no network access. I am able to establish the connection and getting an IP address etc, but, I am unable to connect to any of the servers or ping any of IP address. Any solution for this problem please ?
Hi,
you must have chack the firewall in window8 pro, make sure port are open for inbound and outbound connection in firewall and the remote IP is on trusted zone. Also VPN application is allow access in firewall.
I hope it will help you,
- Make sure the service is running in (Services) and any service related
- Allowed By Firewall Or antivirus firewall
- Windows update is running
I believe he need to confirm if the related services on windows started or not
1) I'm connecting to a GateProtect GPO125 firewall
2) The protocol I'm using is PPTP
3) I am using the RDC that is native to windows
4) I am setting up the connection in the office but I'm not on the offices network, running off a moblie hotspot on my phone
5) I have double checked my credentials are all correct. Also tried other employees credentials, all connect but no access to network. And have tried the credentials on a known working VPN and get access.
I should also say that I have setup VPNs (the same way) for the company before but they never gave me any issues. This is the first time I've tried to set one up on a Windows 8 machine though.
