It very much depends on the position. However, in most cases both are extremely important. Personally, experience for me tends to play a bigger role.

I agree both are important,

speaking for my self in my opionion .I would hire with out a doubt.... The one with experience .

they have the years of experience ,they already  know the job, know what is expected of them,

Degree will get you the interview, it's just a door opener. To get the job, you have to have the talent,abilities, and interpersonal skills.

Skills are acquired not just through degrees, but through other avenues, like reading books and periodicals. But actual job experience remains the most important source of skills and qualifications
