When planning my Content stratefy I follow the undermentioned :

  1. Content Need : Identifying the goals and purpose of my content including architecute, medium.
  2. Know my Audience : Identifying audience and substance of the content is very important like the tone & voice, length & structure, etc
  3. Presentation : Presentation of the content is a very important factor which includes readability, layout, call to actions etc. I prefer the content to be brief and to the point, and broken into smaller byte size readable sections and properly highlighted by headings, sub-headings with lists and tables etc
  4. Organize the plan : Organizing content helps us to find content gaps, impart SEO strategies and be consistant.
  5. Future Plan : My content strategy includes both plan for present as well as future content need. An ongoing content strategy keeps the audience coming back for more. It helps to grow the brand and its audience.

The most important part in a content strategy is to create content relevant to the purpose of your website and useful to your audience.

I focus on the fact that my content strategy should provide all the necessary information needs and value to the user and getting the right content to the user at the right time. It must be a consistent stream of content mapped to the buyers need.
