Focus on whole foods like leafy greens, berries, and legumes which provide antioxidants to support your kidney and liver health. Some of the best options are kale, blueberries, and lentils. Add in healthy fats like avocados, nuts and seeds. Avocados contain monounsaturated fats that help reduce inflammation in the body. I started incorporating more of these healing fats and plant-based foods after my yearly checkup showed slight strain on my liver enzymes. Within3 months of improving my diet, my numbers were back in the normal range and I felt more energized. Give your body the gift of nutritious plant-powered foods. Your kidney, liver and overall health will thank you!
