If the performance of an employee is negatively affecting your strategy. However, you think this employee has great attitude towards the work and is putting so much effort into it with no slight result. Would it stop you from firing him/her?
A great attitude is hard to find and can be an asset in itself. Productivity can be increased through frank discussion, encouragement, sharing of ideas and lots of praise for success.
Where there is a will there is a way.
A great attitude towards work and putting a lot of effort is a very positive mind set.
Every person has feelings and the manager needs to understand that. The manager could discuss with the employee, as this person has a positive atitude, and see something can be done to relieve the situation. Firing definately would be a soluton for a good candidate.
Public benefit provided on individual benefit, perhaps transfer the employee to another area makes the difference.
